Diamond Open Cross Pendant
An open cross design lets light pass through the negative space of this estate diamond pendant — a modern interpretation where the empty center creates depth and visual interest beyond what a solid cross achieves.
Description
The open cross pendant takes the traditional cross silhouette and removes its interior, leaving only diamond-set outlines against skin and light. This estate example uses that negative space intentionally — the empty center draws the eye inward, creating a sense of dimension that solid cross designs lack. Set with white diamonds along the outer frame, the piece reads as both geometric and spiritual depending on the distance from which it is viewed.
Modern interpretations of traditional religious jewelry attract buyers who hold both faith and design sensibility simultaneously — a combination common among Houston’s Braeswood Place and West University communities and nationwide buyers who shop estate markets for fine jewelry that balances meaning with aesthetic intelligence.
